Library Information for New COL Students

Research Databases

  • The Law Library subscribes to a variety of electronic research databases, most of which can be easily accessed from off-campus
  • You can search for specific e-resources (i.e., you know the title) in Primo, the Law Library's online catalog
    • Pre-filter for eBooks: Using Advanced Search, limit Material Type to eBooks, or;
    • Post-filter after running a simple or advanced search:
      • "Availability" for Full Text Online
      • "Resource Type" for Articles (may or may not provide full text access; contact Prof. Anna Blaine with questions)
      • "Resource Type" for eBooks

Westlaw

  • Westlaw Precision is one of the major commercial legal databases. Access requires an individual account and you should have received e-mailed instructions about creating yours. If you did not or have questions, please contact Prof. Sam Williams.

Lexis+
