The Law Library's services are impacted due to the ongoing response to the COVID-19 pandemic. This page aims to provide quick access to current hours, available resources/services, & other related information. It will be updated with new information as needed. U. Idaho College of Law Library - Moscow

The Law Library is closed until further notice.

  • We will provide as much service as possible via phone or e-mail
  • All items currently checked out have an adjusted due date of July 15th (this is automatic & requires no action on your part)

Databases/Online Casebooks/Online Study Aids

  • The Law Library subscribes to a variety of electronic research databases, most of which can be easily accessed from off-campus

  • Bluebook Online - if you need online access to The Bluebook, e-mail Jean Mattimoe (Moscow students) or Sam Williams (Boise students) for a code
  • Finding e-resources in Primo
    • Pre-filter for eBooks: Using Advanced Search, limit Material Type to eBooks
    • After running a simple or advanced search:
      • Post-filter in Availability for UI Ebooks and Journals
      • Post-filter in Resource Type for Articles (may or may not provide full text access; contact Anna Blaine with questions)
      • Post-filter in Resource Type for eBooks

​Curbside Pickup of Print Materials Now Available

Patrons can now request locally-owned physical items from the Law Library in Moscow and pick them up curbside at the University Library. To request an item, navigate to the library’s online catalog and search for a title. Then use the “Request Curbside Pick Up” link to place your request. You’ll receive an email when your item is ready, with a link to reserve a pick up time slot between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., Monday to Friday.

Please note that due to staffing and safety protocols it may take two or more business days from the time you place your request to receive your items! Contact us at with questions.


  • Circulation
    • Circulation at both locations is closed until further notice; please call 208-885-6521 (Moscow), 208-364-4556 (Boise), e-mail & we will endeavor to meet your library needs virtually
    • Fine waiver - for UI or Summit materials accrued after March 9th
    • All currently checked out items have had their due dates automatically extended to May 1
  • Virtual Reference - E-mail for research assistance
  • Special Collections - Closed until further notice

Interlibrary Loan/Summit

  • COL Moscow Library: accepting interlibrary loan requests for electronic resources only until further notice; please keep in mind that many other libraries have also reduced services, limiting our ability to fill requests
    • Have a book from ILL that will be overdue? E-mail Evan Lantzy or call 208-885-6521 so we can help you extend your due date
  • COL Boise Library: Interlibrary loan service is suspended until further notice; e-mail Kris Quigley with questions about existing loans
  • Summit services are suspended until further notice
